Shots Fired

Holy Crap.
I want to preface this story by saying that i love all my friends, and if i haven't told you lately it is a grievous error on my part.

The night itself was innocent enough, Bart, Jim, Nick and myself had gone out for a bit to egans. It was crowded, we left for the pub for a while. Bart went home and dropped us off at egans, no one was there (well, no one we wanted to hang out with), so we went to caplewood. We were there for a little while until the happy fun fireworks show decided to move indoors. Roman candles in the house seemed like a bad idea, in retrospect, no so much. So we wandered back over to the strip to survey egans again.

We decided to sit at the bench on the corner and people watch, just hang out. We are completely sober at this point (thank god) and were having a good time, sitting talking and watching the bar crowds walk by.

Then the trouble came. It didn't look like much, four guys walking up the sidewalk, apparently one of them had bumped into another one and were attempting to sort it all out. "Man, a bumps a bump." Well, it looked like the situation had been diffused, but then, right in front of us one of the guys takes a a swing at the other one. Holy crap, a fight has broken out in front of egans and inches from us. We decided to make ourselves scarce and walked into egans. Everything seemed to be fine, jim nick and i walked just out the door to see if we wanted to reclaim our bench. The fight seemed to have broken up and we are standing in the doorway when people start scurrying away from the corner of the building, Nick hears the words "he's got heat" i didn't hear them, i just noticed everyone moving quickly away, and as fast as everything was moving the guy FIRES THREE SHOTS DOWN THE STREET. We all scrambled back into egans as fast as we could and were out of danger, but damn. The doorman, who was standing beside me outside the door had bulletts flying by his head, he freakin felt the shockwaves. It was crazy. No one was hurt, thank god. But damn, thats some scary stuff.

Unbelievable.
I need to decompress.
Totally Insane.
I just don't know what to think.
